Naturopathic Medicine

Rooted in Health - Naturopathic Medicine Barrie Naturopathic Doctors (ND) have a unique perspective. Although they specialize in natural medicine, they are also well trained in conventional medicine. This enables them to provide a balanced view of your health concerns — integrating scientific research with the healing powers of nature. The primary goal of Naturopathic Medicine is to prevent disease. However, once a disease state is reached, NDs focus on uncovering its root cause by looking at the whole person, taking into account the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of your health. Naturopathic Doctors have a variety of treatment options that are designed to work with the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. These treatments are gentle and natural and have proven to be safe and effective. Training for Naturopathic Doctors includes several different treatment modalities: Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Hydrotherapy, Lifestyle Counselling, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Cupping.
